Kevin Strijbos:

“A podium is good! I wasn’t too happy with the first race though. I made a small mistake on the second corner and got pushed wide and dropped back to 15th. I made another mistake by myself and it was tough to pass. You needed a good start and that's what I did in the second moto. I got into a fight with Febvre and it was tough because he was so fast in some places. I was trying to hold on and got some cramps in my legs by the end, which meant I was pushing the limit. I tried to fight back but couldn’t but; anyway, it was a good ride by him and a good result for me to...

“The second race was really good, with my second holeshot of the year, and was vital on that track and with that much water. I struggled a bit with my pace and was riding too conservative. I led, but Tim was too strong. I passed Jordi and finished second even though he was pushing hard at the end. It feels great to finish second and I wasn’t expecting a podium because of my small mistake in the first race. It is amazing to be ‘on it’ again and with fifth place in the first moto my result could have been even better…but I’m happy.”

THIRD DOUBLE PODIUM FINISH FOR STRIJBOS IN SWEDEN

Team Suzuki Press Office – July 5.

The hard-pack and dust of Uddevalla was another happy hunting ground for Suzuki as Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MXGP’s Kevin Strijbos rode to third position at the Grand Prix of Sweden for his third consecutive podium result and a repeat of his 2014 classification at the same event.

The Belgian flew his works RM-Z450 to eighth and second places in two hot and sunny motos after setting off from Pole Position. Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe’s Glenn Coldenhoff took eighth in his first outing at...

Team Suzuki Press Office – July 5.

Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe’s Jeremy Seewer maintained his eye-catching speed and potential in the MX2 class of the FIM Motocross World Championship by scoring third position overall at a sweltering Uddevalla for the Grand Prix of Sweden.

Round 11 of 18 in the series was played out in front of a 22,000 audience and in summer conditions as sunshine and high temperatures blessed the visit to Scandinavia. For Seewer there were several small milestones. His ranking represented a third podium appearance of...

There have been threats of storms and rain at many of the stops of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship this year, but for the most part the little water that has been received, did nothing more than help the crews maintain the tracks. That was not the case this past weekend at Budds Creek MX however; there were torrential downpours, lightning and even nearby tornadoes resulting in very muddy conditions. The track crew did an amazing job making the surface rideable, particularly in 450 moto 2 after a deluge cause a two hour delay in action. When lightning is striking, there is no...

Brian Hsu:

“My school is finished and I can work more! Instead of sitting in a class I can be riding and training. Anyway, today was great. The whole weekend actually. I had a problem in qualifying because a stone flew into my goggles and popped the lens. It cut my eyebrow and there was blood all over the goggles. My eye was very swollen and we did everything we could to treat it. In the first race it was really difficult to see. I was far back in the beginning because someone cut my line but I made some very good passes to finish ninth. I wasn’t tired and happy with the race. Today, a...

Zach Osborne: "Today was good, I had ok speed in practice but I felt really good on the bike and enjoyed the track a lot. I really felt like I should have had 3rd in the first moto but I lost a couple positions in the last two laps. In the second moto I pulled the holeshot and got right out there. I ended up getting passed by Marvin [Musquin] so I just tried to put in some good laps and stay as close to him as I could and it worked out for me. For most of the moto we yo-yo'd back and forth within a second or two of each other and I felt good about that. I feel like I can win one."

Jason Anderson: "I'm hoping to keep these podiums going! I for sure need to improve on my starts just to get with those top two guys right away and kind of put a tow rope on and start riding with them to learn their pace. I ride with them during the week but when you're racing it's much different. I felt like I was all alone out there in the 2nd moto in 3rd. When you're riding by yourself you feel like you're going fast but when you can see someone doing different stuff in front, you can definitely learn from them. In the first moto when I was behind Christophe [Pourcel], I learned a...

Jeremy Seewer:

“I had a good feeling on the track from Saturday and my engine and suspension were working so well and gave me confidence. We had a different track today! I put a lot of focus into the start because on the sighting lap I saw there was largely one line and it would be difficult to pass. I managed to get a good one but still took a load of mud on the goggles and had to throw them away. I stayed fourth and limited the mistakes. There was a big gap in front and also behind me so I tried to ride smooth. The second race was a bit crazy because Tonkov pushed me out into the deep...

Kevin Strijbos:

“I was happy to be back here and everything went fine in the race. I was ‘kinda lucky that it rained because I like those kind of conditions a lot. I made a mistake in the first race but had a great start in the second. It was difficult to catch Max and also to pass. I found a good spot but I was waiting until the last lap. I wanted to pass him safely because he’s the championship leader whereas I’m just coming back. Anyway, I was happy about the pass and also the win. A big thanks to the team; they did a great job and I’m happy for them. We will try to do our...

Jeremy Martin had a tough day in Pennsylvania. He got on the podium but didn't make it easy on himself with bad starts. He's clearly the fastest guy out there however and he will be tough to beat in the overall Championship.

Team Suzuki Press Office – June 14.

Some 36,000 spectators braved harsh and wet conditions at Maggiora Park for the Grand Prix of Italy and round nine of 18 in the FIM Motocross World Championship today as Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe’s Jeremy Seewer scored his second podium finish in the MX2 class on his works RM-Z250 with third place overall.

Around the throttle and brake-hungry hills of the hard-pack Italian course the fabled track was a technically-straightforward challenge but some of the slippery zones of the soil had to be handled with care. Mistakes by some key Grand Prix...
