Rockstar Energy Drink driver Tanner Foust is making the move to a new team and new car in 2014 for his rallycross campaign.

The three-time U.S. rallycross champion will race for Volkswagen in 2014, one of two drivers on the just-announced Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross (VARX) team.

"The level of preparation that Volkswagen Motorsport and Andretti Autosport bring to rallycross can't be overstated. Volkswagen conquered the World Rally Championship on their first attempt and joining them for rallycross is an amazing opportunity," said Foust.

Volkswagen of America,...

Aside from the 1st Anaheim in 2014, the city has not been very friendly to Rockstar Energy Racing's quest for the 250 West Championship with Jason Anderson. With the controversial cross flag penalty at A2, to the poor decision by Malcolm Stewart, taking himself and Jason to the ground after seemingly not even attempting to turn as he went straight into him at A3. Some may say team tactics were involved as Malcolm is the teammate of Anderson's closest competition in the points chase, Cole Seely. That is certainly a possibility, or it could just be the aggressive type of riding that is...

There was no controversy this weekend and no question who is the man to beat in the 2014 West Coast 250 Championship. That is none other than Rockstar Energy Racing's Jason Anderson who picked up his 3rd win in 4 races and put the red plate back where it belongs, on the number 17.

Jason Anderson was definitely not happy the Saturday night after A2 when he learned of his penalty docking him 2 positions. However not unlike a Professional Quarterback in the NFL, you have to have short memory when adversity strikes and simply move forward. By Monday morning Jason was at the test track, back on...

Day One of X Games Aspen couldn't have happened any other way. Just one year after a snowmobiling crash took the life of his brother, Caleb Moore, Colten Moore returned to X Games Snowmobile Freestyle on Friday night and took GOLD.  His brother was undoubtedly right by his side the whole ride.

Two-time gold medalist, Dan Brisse, took home silver for his 60-second Real Snow video part. Online voting for Real Snow "Fan Favorite" remains open until Sunday, January 26,  a title that Frank April is looking to claim for the second year in a row.

Friday’s Halfpipe Qualifier #3 at the Mammoth Grand Prix produced stiff competition with seven scores above 90 points. Matt Ladley, who had stomped a frontside 180 heading switch into a huge cab 7, followed by a front 12, backside 9, front 9, back 5, and then front double 10, placed 3rd with a score of 93.

Saturday’s Slopestyle Qualifier #5 marked the end of qualifying for the U.S. Snowboard Slopestyle team, and was by far one of the toughest competitions of the year. Kyle Mack took his second podium of the series, putting down a solid 92.4 on...

There tends to be a gray area perception when it comes to rulings pertaining to the waving of red cross flags. One year ago, there was an instance where Davi Millsaps was actually passed on the flag and nothing was enforced. In that same race a penalty was administered to Ryan Villopoto, but was implemented on the red flag restart as opposed to the end of the race as one would expect. Millsaps lost points and was hampered by those results. Rockstar Energy Racing was once again involved with similar controversy this weekend during the second of three trips to Angels Stadium.

Jason Anderson...

January 16th, Mammoth Mountain Grand Prix, Olympic Qualifiers #3 and #4

It was a big day for Rockstar Energy and the U.S. Snowboarding Team. Chas Guldemond took 3rd place in the first Olympic qualifying final at Mammoth, and Kyle Mack followed his lead with another 3rd place in the second final.

Mammoth Mountain is the third resort to host the U.S. Grand Prix this season. Facing an unseasonably warm winter in California, the Grand Prix was forced to move the Northstar stop back to Breckenridge, CO. However, the Grand Prix was faced with another challenge when a tough weather font hammered...

Rockstar Energy Racing entered round 2 of the Supercross season in Phoenix with the red plate for the second consecutive year, and left still holding it in similar fashion. Only this time it was in the 250 class while en route to the second victory in a row. The repeat win in this young season for Jason Anderson came very dramatically on the last lap not unlike the opener last weekend in Anaheim.

Jason Anderson is clearly at the top of his game and is continuing to prove that consistently throughout each race day thus far. Winning round one does not always get the respect it deserves with...

Rockstar Energy Racing must have some sort of magic on their side when it comes to the opening round of the season at Anaheim 1. After Davi Millsaps picked up the unforeseen victory in dramatic fashion in 2013, Jason Anderson continued what can be hoped to be a tradition in similar form at 2014's inaugural round. Heading into Phoenix once again, the team has a rider carrying the coveted red plate. This continued success did not come easy however. With the complete changing of OEM's to KTM during the offseason, it required a lot of work from everyone involved. Virtually starting over...

Canadian medal hopeful soars towards halfpipe debut at Winter Games in Sochi

January 2, 2014, Vancouver, BC – Halfpipe skiing will make its Olympic debut next month and Canadian Mike Riddle is on track to bring home a medal. After confirming his spot on the Olympic team at the Dew Tour in Breckenridge last month, his focus is now set on winning at the Winter Games in Sochi.

“Having my Olympic spot locked in takes a lot of the pressure off me and now I can focus on perfecting my Olympic run rather than playing it safe,” says Riddle. “When I’m doing the run I want to do, I will be...
