Clement Desalle:

“Yesterday when I did my first lap of the track here I was quite surprised by it but then it became better and better. My starts were better today and that's a positive thing. Two strong results and that’s important because my goal for the moment is to be like that every moto. I’m happy with my feeling on the bike and the control I have. I am trying to enjoy myself as much as possible because I know that is when the results come. We will do some testing now and I’m excited about the chance to get a bit better in small areas. It is great to have the red plate for...

Team Suzuki Press Office – February 16.

Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MXGP rider Clement Desalle raced to victory at the Valence pre-season International Motocross event in France today; the second of three international races the team will attend before the opening round of the World MXGP Championship at Qatar on February 28th.

Team-mate Kevin Strijbos and Desalle set the fastest lap-times aboard their factory RM-Z450s in Saturday's free practice, held under semi-dry conditions, but today’s races were hit by constant rain that turned the circuit into a single-lined mudfest.

Kevin Strijbos:

“I went to the race without expecting too much as I had been a bit sick the last week and didn’t ride much in the sand after I got back from training in the US. It was always a bit difficult in the beginning of the races, but I gained momentum as the races went on and this turned out good. I’m stoked for the team to have such a good start to the season and I’m looking forward to the next races!”

Clement Desalle:

“It was a good day; a bit cold in the morning but good in the afternoon. I’m not such a big fan of the start on the concrete at Hawkstone, but still...

Star Racing Yamaha's Cooper Webb was unstoppable at A2. Rounding the first turn outside of the top 15 looked to cost him some points with Jessy Nelson in the lead. Cooper came all the way through the pack and was suddenly and rapidly making up time on the leader Tyler Bowers. He then made his move on the last lap for the lead. He was not going to be stopped on that night by anyone.
