Brett Metcalfe

Brett began his professional career in 2001. He left his native Australia to contest the World Motocross GP series in 2002 and came to America in 2003 riding for the KTM Factory Team, finishing inside the top-10 in 2003 and 2004 in AMA 250SX Supercross.

He would go on to win the U.S. Open of Supercross and finish sixth in the AMA 250SX Supercross Championship even though he was riding a 125cc two-stroke motorcycle against much more powerful 250cc four-stroke machines.


In 2006 Brett finished within the top-10 in both the AMA 250SX Supercross and 250 Class motocross championships.


In  2008. Brett finished fourth in AMA 250SX Supercross with three podiums, and despite injuring his shoulder, finished third overall in the AMA 250 Class Motocross Championship.


In 2009 Brett raced  AMA 250SX East Supercross and AMA 250 Cass Motocross. to finish third overall in AMA 250 Class motocross, setting the stage for the success that was to come in 2010.


Brett had a breakout season 2010. He stepped up to the premier 450 Class for the AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series, immediately establishing himself as a top contender. He finished in the top-10 at all 12 rounds, finished in the top-5 nine times, had six overall podium finishes, seven individual moto podium visits, and earned second in overall series points in his rookie debut!


Brett was a member of team Australia for the 2011 Motocross of Nations giving Australia its first MXoN podium, and finished the year with a podium at the inaugural Monster Energy Cup.


In 2013 a unique opportunity to contest the upcoming Canadian National Championship unexpectedly arose, he dominated the series, winning the title/ During a few breaks in the Canadian series Brett raced as a privateer at three stops of the U.S. motocross series. He never finished outside of the top-10 in a moto, earning as high as fourth overall at the Southwick, MA round.


In 2014 Brett earned fourth in 450 SX series points.
