Miami during Art Basel is an intersection of art and culture where creatives of all kinds, DJs, artists, athletes and more come together to celebrate expression and community. Over the course of two days, we took over legendary skate park Lot 11 with our very own, never-seen-before experience featuring elite design and lighting in the bowl by KROSS KEELEY as well as an LED art installation named, “FLUX” by KSAWERY KOMPUTERY along with the MESH creative team.

As a continuation of the What’s Next partnership, Angus Cloud hit up the private event to watch the pro skaters drop in and the art go off. He even jumped behind the DJ booth and met up with fans in attendance.
Rockstar Pro Skaters, David Gonzalez, Clay Kreiner, Keegan Palmer, Cory Juneau and Jimmy Wilkins went big while riding out on the bowl that was lit with immersive art from KROSS KEELEY. A screen above featured What’s Next visuals along with images of the skaters live. The energy from the hyped up crowd cheered on the athletes with a vibe that was as high as every trick that hit the air. Many of our favorite creators also came through to see it come to life: Espe & Sebas, Paula Macher, Adam Sevani, Christian Acosta, Flex Cartel, Elizabeth Elias, Melissa Charria and Jeff Cotto!

During the event, guests got on the dance floor for musical talents DJ ATRAIN and COFFINTEXTS. To continue the epic night, they hit up local food trucks and got a surprise and delight light art show every hour on the hour between skate sessions.

To cap the event off in true Rockstar Energy and Angus Cloud fashion, we wanted to ensure the community had energy to keep it going. We left behind a solar powered phone charging station for the skatepark to use, keeping future skaters ready for what’s next with renewable energy.
